At Cidermill Farms, we have developed school tours catered to the curricular expectations of specific grade levels.
Introducing the principals of regenerative agriculture，we will demonstrate the importance of building & mainting healthy soil structures in order to produce crops rich in nutrients & sequester carbon，thereby reversing the effects of desertification.
Based on the grade level，we will discuss various topics from plant structures & their function in the uptake of nutrients to an interactive demonstration of photosynthesis and how plants relate to a sustainable future.
Animals play an important role on the farm. Their droppings provide rich fertilizer for plant matter，to replenish the soil after harvest. Farmers must avoid over grazed pastures. If managed properly, raising livestock can be done sustainably and can aid in reversing the effects of climate charge.
