Therefore, our tours are curated to reflect grade level and curriculum content, to ensure that the experience is in line with the concepts studied in the classroom. In this tour, we will identify the basic needs of living things, including the need for air, water, food, heat, shelter, and space in a farm setting. We will touch upon the ways in which living things provide for the needs of other living things (ie. a food chain). With special consideration for the actions that can be taken to contribute to a healthy environment.
Camp AgScape is a great interactive resource for teaching food literacy and agriculture. It is a 4 week unit of study with a program for every age.
